A Texas Webfile Number is required in order to file the Texas Franchise Tax report. You may have received a letter from the Texas Comptroller's Office stating Webfile in your mail.

Even if your business has no income or activity, zero (no-activity) federal business tax returns and the Texas Franchise Tax report are still required. Failure to file the Texas Franchise Tax can result in penalties, interest, and forfeiture of the entity's good standing with the State of Texas.
